When you come back from a good climb, washing is probably the last thing you want to think about. Still, you need to get your ropes in order once in a while. The advantage of washing gel is that it dissolves well in water and the ropes remain the same as before washing. Not only in terms of colours (although these are not so important), but mainly in terms of their physical properties.

For easy cleaning and washing of the ropes, do not use any detergents. TENDON Rope Cleaner is a highly effective detergent for safe and thorough washing both by hand and in the washing machine. It does not damage the rope in any way and moreover - after washing and proper drying, the rope ages more slowly and is easier to use.

When you buy a new static rope and it looks like you will have to use it for the first time in a damp or wet environment, we recommend washing the rope first. In this way, the rope is freed from slippery additives (used in the production of PA fibres) that are released from the rope when it first comes into contact with a wet environment.
