- duralumin XP buckle allows length adjustment even under load
- strap sewn into the buckle improves handling during loosening and tightening
- large hole in XP buckle allows any carabiner to be attached
- XP clasp is still connected to ascender (when adjusting the length, it does not move along the functional length of the cord and therefore does not interfere anywhere)
