Oval shape for symmetry; shape allows central placement of equipment
Oval connectors are popular in situations where multiple connectors, loops, cables or even pulleys need to be connected. It is equally well suited for fall arrest situations or as part of a pre-prepared rescue system. The round shape of the basket allows any of the connection points to centre themselves when loaded - this helps avoid the unnerving clicking that often occurs with D-shaped connectors. The symmetrical basket means there is no need to rotate within the systems as it sits comfortably on either side.
