CAMP The Safety DRUID is a lightweight and compact lowering brake with automatic locking for work at height and rescue forces. The brake is designed for static ropes with a diameter of 9.9 - 11 mm. A high level of safety is ensured by the "anti-panic" function, which automatically locks the brake in the event of too much pressure on the trigger lever, thus immediately stopping triggering or rappelling. The body and lever are made of solid forged aluminium alloy. The moving parts are made of precision cast stainless steel. The arrangement of the internal cam mechanism is patented and offers a very fine control of the rope together with a gentle slip in case of catching a fall, thus saving the rope and increasing its lifetime. Feeding of the rope during belay is facilitated by a protrusion for the right index finger, located on the movable part of the cam near the belay eye. Simply open the cam with the pointer and quickly feed a longer piece of rope. In case of an accidental fall into such a loose cam, the belayer has no chance to hold the cam loose with one finger, the cam immediately retracts when the rope is tightened and prevents it from slipping. The steel eyelet serves to attach the rappelling brake to a fixed point and prevents it from dropping to the ground.

• EN 341/2A: rescue and evacuation rappelling brake for 11 mm static ropes with a maximum load of up to 120 kg
• EN 15151: for climbing structures using climbing techniques with dynamic ropes with a diameter of 9.9 - 11 mm
