CT Climbing Technology CRIC

Multifunctional rope clamp with integrated pulley for climbing, rope access work and rescue. Robust, practical and intuitive, it has four different modes of operation: winch, pulley, rope clamp/pulley or progress capture pulley.

Main features:

its versatility, compact dimensions and ease of use allow to reduce to a minimum the time, material and space required for rope manoeuvres;
allows rope ascent in accordance with EN 567 / EN 12841-B (climb mode);
it can be used as a simple hoist for lifting or carrying loads in accordance with EN 12278 (hoist mode);
the integrated ball bearing pulley can be used as a simple redirection for easier rope ascent or lifting of a person without the aid of additional connectors (rope clamp/pulley mode);
allows direct lifting of the load, the creation of pulling systems and the rescue or self-rescue of a person, as in the case of a victim falling into a crevasse (pulling pulley mode with gradual catching);
when used in pulley mode, the rope can move freely in both directions; instead, when used in pull pulley mode, the rope can only run in one direction and is locked in the opposite direction;
when used in the progressive trapping pulley mode, it is possible to lower the lifted load by acting on a dedicated line connected to a cam inside the device;
easy opening with an intuitive release button allows quick installation of the device on the rope - regardless of the mode in which it will be used - even with gloves or when working in difficult conditions;
equipped with a steel cam with teeth that minimize rope wear but effectively block the rope. In addition, the cam is designed with two slots to reduce dirt buildup, so keeping the lock on the rope is very effective under any conditions (muddy, frozen rope, etc.).
Attention! This device is not a fall arrest device (EN 353-2 / EN 12841-A) nor can it be used for self-protection when climbing.
