ZODIAC Tech GTX this model is designed for demanding users to move in alpine terrain with easy to use semi-automatic crampons. The patented BAS technology, Bascula Adaptive System, has softer concentric surfaces on the toe and heel that adapt to the ground for traction and stability. The heel design also makes it easier to advance on steep and sloping terrain. An upper made from water-repellent Perwanger Nepal Oil leather and a Gore-Tex membrane ensures waterproofing in all conditions. Another feature for a comfortable fit is the Sock-Fit XT system, which wraps around the foot like a sock, so the foot is securely "stored" in the shoe. Raised rubber toe cap for toe protection and longer boot life. Lace up to the toe for maximum fit and comfortable wear. The autofit upper hem is firm and protects the ankle, while being nicely padded for maximum wearing comfort without restricting movement. The cuff in the back eliminates dirt falling into the shoe, replacing the boot cover to some extent.
