DMM carabiner Steel OVAL 10mm Screwgate
Oval for symmetry; shape allows central placement of device
Oval connectors are popular in rope access and tree care situations where multiple connectors, slings, ropes or even pulleys can be attached. They are equally at home in fall-arrest situations or as part of a pre-prepared rescue system. The round shape of the basket allows either connection point to centre itself when loaded - this helps avoid the worrying clicking that often occurs with more D-shaped connectors. A symmetrical basket of medium rotation is not required within the systems as it sits comfortably in both directions.
