The unique wide shape of the HMS Core Belay Lock carabiner is distinguished by its high ground clearance, excellent rope penetration and, thanks to the new screw-lock design, maximum ease of one-handed operation. The Core Belay Lock has an internal integrated lock that holds the rope and carabiner in the correct position and prevents the carabiner from twisting. Of course, the SphereLock treatment of the nose and carabiner lock for greater strength under load. To increase safety, the carabiner lock is laser cut to indicate if the lock is sufficiently screwed in.
