The BEAL Escaper is a patented special aid that provides the easiest way to safely and quickly rappel down a wall on a single strand of rope. The whole system is based on a prusik which holds the end of the Escaper rigging firmly under load (rappelling). After rappelling, you just need to pull the rope 8-12 times hard and loosen it completely, which will loosen the rope until the end of the rope passes through the rappelling eye (rivet) and falls to you with the tied end of the rope. Beal Escaper is a certified modification of the method used in practice by a small group of climbers in forced rapid retreat from the mountain. It takes up almost no space, weighs almost nothing, and all its parts are visually easy to inspect. The correct securing procedure is perfectly drawn directly on the durable textile packaging in which the Escaper is supplied. Escaper can be combined with all rope types from 7,3mm diameter (Beal Gully).
